The game has also been localized into over 80 languages. In March 2014, Subway Surfers was the number one most downloaded free app on the App Store and Google Play.

About The Game

Subway Surfers is a Temple Run-style endless running video game featuring a very simple one-touch control system. The aim of the game is to escape from an inspector and his dog by moving the character down railway tracks, collecting coins for points along the way, avoiding collisions with oncoming trains and other objects such as posts and birds. Special items such as shirts, jet packs, hoverboards, and magnets can be picked up and used to help the player navigate the environment.

Subway Surfers is a cell-shaded endless running game in which players control either Jake or one of his friends (including permanent character Tricky). The player runs along a preset track automatically scrolling from right to left. Along the way, they collect coins and other objects to increase their score, while dodging obstacles in their way.

The game is free-to-play, with characters that can be unlocked by collecting coins that are used to buy these. Players can use keys to unlock chests containing power-ups or other objects, which helps them stay alive longer and score higher along the tracks.

There are various missions that give players rewards such as unlocking new characters and boards. The game is set in a fictionalized version of New York City, with the player character being able to ride on the roof of a train, jump on cars, grind on rails, vault over obstacles, and use power-ups to extend their run.
